What to keep in mind for the ghat
You may be standing for a long time, walking on wet steps and stepping into the water for arghya. So comfort matters as much as looks. A lighter butti design is easier to manage for hours than a very heavy one. Keep your pleats neat and slightly higher, pin the pallu well so it does not slip into the water, and wear flat, non-slip footwear for the walk to the ghat.

Quick styling and care tips
- Blouse pairing: a contrast blouse in green, red or purple makes yellow and orange sarees look even brighter. A matching blouse gives a softer, traditional look.
- Jewellery: keep it simple for the ghat: bangles, a small necklace and earrings. Save heavier sets for the family gathering after puja.
