Keep the zari bright
- Dry clean for the first wash.
- After that, hand wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not soak.
- Do not wring. Roll in a towel to remove water, then dry flat in the shade.
- Iron on low heat on the reverse side. Never iron directly on the zari.
- Store folded in a cotton or muslin cloth, away from damp. Refold every few months so the folds do not set.
- Keep perfume and deodorant away from the zari; they dull the metallic thread.
